Ok pipes now lagged ,god is spooky and messy up there the house was built in 1790 it's not quite up to current building regs lol.It is dusty and cramped and fibre glass loft insulation is lovely stuff .
Any one know how long this current freeze is set for and how many floaters will my toilet hold before it is full.
I'm sure chip knows a mathematical formula and will post the calculations for me roflol

As long as you remove the same amount of volume in liquid, as what is entering the bowl in solids (with a cup), you should be able to hold on average one weeks "deposits" before very bad things happen.

I am fortunate it is only the toilet fill pipe that is frozen so I can fill a bucket from the bath and flush the floaters away into the septic tank for safe keeping and examination if you ever feel that you are missing your poo

"safe keeping"

I find it better to examine before they get flushed though, as the journey to the septic tank can be a rough one.

All the pipes at work have been frozen since Friday night. Fortunately the shitter in the office cabin is still working.
