Default Looking for a cossie in new year

Ok, Im looking for a cossie in the new year, more specifically as a restoration project into my currently very clean sapphire shell. I was going to look at buying all the parts seperately, but when I thought about it with my sensible head - id end up spending a small fortune getting the parts together - and not know if what i have got is any good!

So ive come up with a second plan - buy a (cheap) standard running car, and get the major assemblies reconditioned, hopefully ensuring I am provided with good quality parts and take it over to blackpool for stu to have a look over and run his magic fingers over

my question is - what should i be expecting to pay for a standard car, which is in need of some work?

there have been plenty just of late around the 3K mark so i would think you could find yourself what you need for between 2500 and 3500 at the most. good luck
