I have an automatic omega to pick up on sat and was going to tow it the 25 miles home on my a-frame. I have been advised that towing it in neutral with the engine ticking over won't fuck the box. Is this true?

It depends from what the oil pump is driven, some boxes it is driven from output shaft so neutral is fine, on your box I'm not sure, but think they are input driven, so would need engine running, I would ask a auto box rerpair place to be sure.
