do i need to re-tighten head bolts after a certain mileage? engine was rebuilt about 2k ago and hasnt been touched since..has been sitting for 18 months and dont want any more head aches
im sure i could if i tighten them more if i tried...heard stories u have to reighten them on certain cars nd wasnt sure if tht counted for cvh that is all
yeah u dont need to re tighten them, just check them,as u do 90 bends to tighten them, u cant really check the torque, but if u marked them when u done it in the first place, all ya gotta check is the marks are still pointing the same way

That's right as there isn't a specific torque setting for head bolts, just tighten them, mark the bolts, then 90deg, then another 90deg
