Just been down to my local aquatics place as needed some supplies for my aquarium. Having a wander about and spot some lovely snowball plec's. Never seen or heard of them before but they're really pretty so I thought 'i'll have 3 of those'. All the other plecs are about £15 - £18 for three so I thought luvvly jubbly.

Guy goes off, collects the fish and says 'you did ask for 3 mate didn't you' ? which I thought was a bit odd, so said 'yeah'. He said 'you don't do things by halves do ya' and laughed, which I thought was a bit odd and then I realised why after he said 'I'll do them for £35 a piece for you'.......

Bit late so say, errr, no sorry mate I ain't paying that so I coughed up ! Ouch !!!

crikey! How big do they grow? Some plecs get to 18"!

 

ouch! get some pics up though! are they salt water or fresh water?

 

Fresh - I'm just introducing them now (doing it to the letter seeing as what I just paid for them !) so once they're settled later and I can turn the lights on I'll get the camera out.

 

Snowball pleco's are a nice fish they dont grow very big, tops of about 4/5 inches, i've had mine for about 18 months now.
