Just though id post a few pics of my car as i have just finished a very long 5 month rebuild. I bough the car already converted to ERST running gear however it didnt run thanks to a cracked block (no anti_freeze).
Some goodies on the car are: Stage 3 hybrid, Pace charge cooler, Uprated bottom end, Gas flowed Head, Full Koni ajustables etc.
A few pics of when i collected it

And as it is now

Just a few little things to do now.
Comments welcome, good or bad

looking good mate, cant say its a colour i would choose first, but i like it, its differnt and the body kit colour sets it off nicely.
nice to see the engine bay done, alot of people skip that.
keeping the standard look to (like the delocking etc on boot), cant beat the mk2 look, something about it, but i would say that as i had loads of xr2's and love fiestas.
few thing i would of done............
colour coaded door handles
colour coaded petrol cap
had the bonnet hing sprayed.
(no offence intended)
keep up the good work mate and keep us posted on any more bits you do to it.
the project i would love to do but having the time, space or money really is a 4x4 cossie lump in a mk2 xr2
but wanna get a escort cossie next year so it wont happen

Thanks for the comments guys
The brakes are reconditioned XR2 with drilled and vented discs, fast road pads. Got a set of ERST calipers sitting in the garage ready to be fitted once I can get some money to buy some decent discs. Thinking about using cossie discs with brackets but havent decided yet.

This is what happens when a boot seal leaks in a car the sits off the road for 6 months. The rest of the shell is solid THANK GOD!

Thanks for looking

The boost pod was easy, but only because I have done that sort of thing before, it just takes time really. The charge cooler I have fitted is a Pace one. It was a bit of a tight squeeze meaning I had to move Rad, Metering head etc plus make a custom bottom boost hose and various brackets. HTH
