Assuming u got the head off mate, you have to remove the valves first, then with either the proper pliers(makes it easier) or any pliers will do literally grip em and pull em off!! can sometimes be a biatch but dont worry as their coming off so doesnt matter if u damage them!!! Then to put new ones on you just need to get a couple long reach sockets that are the same size as the new seals(from memory inlet/zorst are different size) and tap them into place with a hammer gently

And be careful you don't bolox the new ones when the valves go back in

True, but when i first got my cossie and rebuilt the engine, and not knowing much about them sent the head off too have new guides fitted etc. Then when i was gonna put it back on the bloke who was helping who hadnt seen it b4 it went to them noticed how much it had been skimmed and basically it was skimmed too much by whoever had it before!! So was pretty useless. At end of day it was my/our fault for not realising but any decent machine shop should/would check things like that spec when doing something like fitting valve guides which cost me about £200

if your really really carfull you can always split them down the side with a sharp screwdriver, they come off a peice of piss then just be really carfull not to bend the top of the valve guides

like this!

i took the head to my local machine shop and they took them off
so that left me the job of lapping in the valves and fit the new seals, took me about 3 hrs
