Default Saff Cossie 4x4 idling

Ive got a saff cossie 4x4 and the engine has been idling crap for a few months now.It normaly idles at over 1000 rpm. When i disconnect the idle speed contorl valve it idles at about 7.50/8.50rpm.I know the revs will drop when the iscv is unplugged.Does the base idle need setting up.Sometimes when i im warming my car up on a morning before i go to work the revs go up and down a few times every now and then.Do i have a faulty iscv.Ive cleaned the valve out many a time too and lubed.Any help would be great people.

Get the car warm and set your base idle to about 950 rpm.
The fact that the revs go up and down shows the valve to be working as it is this that is causing the differing idle, this can however be made a lot worse by lean mixtures, so a co check would be a good idea.

check tps signal and settings,
check ect sensor and resistance against temp
check ecu voltage,
check base idle when hot,
check fuel pressure/co and adjust according to your tuners instructions,
pressure test inlet, and rectify any air leaks.

failing that, speak to your tuner about a different idle strategy

Your always bloody there, hope its not too long before you can get normal finishes mate or you'll burn yourself out. Plus you need to find time to start training again.
