how do i relocate battery to the boot

Default how do i relocate battery to the boot

as stated i want to move my battery to the boot do i literally just cut the battery tray out weld it in the boot and extend the wires and run them down the side of the interior trim

lol! Why would you need to cut the battery tray out and weld it in the boot??
Just move the battery and run a big fat live wire from the battery to the engine bay where the battery used to be, connect all the lives to that, earth the battery Negtive tetminal to the body somewhere in the boot, and then any earth wires in the engine bay to the body aswell!

oh ok. i want to remove the tray to make more space. how will i join the original battery terminals to the new ones does anyone have pics thanks

with a fuse holder or a bolt

your battery should also be in a box if its goin in the boot and must be bolted to the floor

its an easy job

what size cable should you run from boot to engine bay so you get full power to starter etc

something like 2 guage would be fine, run it to a distribution block and take everything from there, dont forget to stick a fuse right near the battery as well, this is to protect the wire incase it rubs through somewhere.

is 2 guage 2awg or around 40mm squared in idiot language as that's what i've got says it can carry 350 amps contineous and is the size of my finger

Yes it is 2 American Wire Guage.

Just put a 350amp fuse as close to the battery as you can and run it to a distribution block, or as others have said just use a bolt. But i think a proper block looks better.
