I dont think you can!

I might be wrong but I think the duratec is a mazda engine and has the mazda gearbox mounting pattern.

Nope bellhousing bolt pattern is very different from duratec to any previous ford gearbox thers some bellhousing adapters so you can use duratec with say type9 rwd box might work on most ford boxes with detachable bell housings or you can cut and weld the adapter onto it. Nothing for fwd though apart from mazda and ford that came with that engine derived from ib5 box.

how about using the duratec front part of the Mtx gearbox and the rear part of the Zetec box , or is there a more simple way ?

whats it for? if gear stick is cable operated be better for you to use the duratec gearbox. If rod linked then its much more hassle to make work.

Quick refresher for a buried thread, but doesn't the st150 use an ib5 box joined to a duratec??

I bought a later ib5 gearbox to use rear starter and new st150 group n gear kit, but may install duratec engine instead of blacktop zetec since I've converted shell to new mount style and they look the same.

Wonder how difficult it'd be to fit it all in??
