as title really . looking into getting the golf remapped to give it a bit more omph . just feels too heavy and slow as standard . the last few cars ive had have been round the 200bhp mark so i really do need to get it done ?
im in Hatfield in Herts so im after some one either local or some one monile . found a guy on ebay that remaps at your house for £185 but it will be an extra £40 for me cos im 90 miles away from him .
tried SCC in st albans a while back and im sure it was around the £450 figure and i just aint got that cash spare at the mo , xmas is coming , birds pregnant and im self employed so ive got to be a bit careful with the cash but ive still got a few pennies in the car fund

also is there places i should avoid like the plague ?

AMD Technic in Essex. They are VAG specalists and even started to branch out in Fords. The service i have had there was excellent and will use them again in future

 

my mate has the same car,he found somewhere on the net that you post the ecu to them they do it and send it back,takes a week so as long as you have use of another vehicle your laughing,cost him £100,everywhere else wanted 3 times that if not more,then he had custom zorst,dump valve,now its at 225bhp,il try and find out where it was,
