I need 2 new front wings on my Sapphire. Do Ford still do them? Or do pattern ones exist, if so what's the fit/quality like?

Odd people say this about pattern parts, when a lot of the time they are done on the same presses that have been sold on.
It is not financially viable for someone to make the die etc for stamping out pattern wings for a ever decreasing market so they buy the oe old ones, true they are a bit worn from all the pressings.
I bought two new Hadrian wings for mine and the fit was 100% perfect, no better no worse than new genuine ones, the guy who did the work, works for Norwich Union as a repair estimator and it was his recommendation of make.
I also used thier front slam panel, bonnet, cross member, etc etc, all was ok, apart from the bonnet the interior frame bit was not bonded to the skin!

I have a Ford original on one side, and a pattern one on the other. If you look at it, you can't tell the difference unless you're looking hard enough

if you get a ford one it has the ford stamp but if your like me you can cut the date stamp out of the old wing put it in the new one then fit it and if your good with sealler no one knows its ever been changed

 

How much are the pattern ones then?

You Would have to be really really! GOOD at sealing to not be noticed that the wing has been changed!

 

iv done atleast 10 pairs now mate and thats just on saph,s they look perfect when there done iv got a spot welder to which hellps it look right
