I had a similar problem with my T25, but I reset the ECU and that seemed to clear it up.
I would suggest you get one of those Gunson fault code readers from Halfords - they're about £25ish. It will plug straight into your diagnostic socket and tell you what fault codes have been recorded - this should hopefully point you in the right direction.
I've used mine so many times now - saved me a fortune.
BTW - when it stalls - does the red immobiliser light on the clock come on? Also - have you checked the wiring on the MAF sensor?

cheers markn. gonna take ya advice on the gunson jobbie i think it will be a gud investment! the immobiliser is next on the check list it was on the car when i brought her and its a GT series (the one what talks) its abit chav! it was installed in 2003 so due for a play-up and i heard the company went bust! booked it in for a replacement! the maf sensor is new. how do you reset the ecu? is this a Ford only ting? and is it... ££££££££ gonna hurt?
thanks for the advice.
oh and dont think the factory immob is active? soon find out!

oh and dont think the factory immob is active? soon find out!The simplest way to reset the ECU is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. But I'd use the fault code reader first otherwise any errors it has stored will be erased and then you'll be none the wiser!
Sorry bout the delay in reply had a fookin hectic few weeks! after all that turned out to be the ignition relay breaking down, thought when they broke that was that! thanks again!

Do you know if your car has PATS (where you
have the red chip in the key)? If its a T25 then it probably has, although some early ones do exist without it. Older ones tend to have some awful wipac thing in the centre console - and they tend to be a whole lot of grief when they go wrong. PATS is integrated into the ECU so is unlikely to be at fault. Wipac is wired in with damp string and they do go wrong fairly regularly which is a bundle of laughs.

checked the connections and well, green furry deposits aint good! all cleaned up now and bit better response! although the coilpacks need replacing and i will do if i can source a new pair for less than £69.95 each tho i doubt it! and the champion C57 Plugs are coming out they"re shite!
[better get the irridium type apart from that and the shit idle at cold she"s
