New Chop Shop mechanic Lee Taylor is a Ford fanatic through and through. He’s been into cars since at least the age of three. His mum worked for a Ford main dealer and his dad owned old classic Fords like the Cortina. Due to these connections, it was hardly surprising that he started in the motor trade as an apprentice with Ford.
Before coming to the Chop Shop, he was part of the mechanical Elite Team working for Norwich Union. Deemed to be the best of the best, this was a prestigious team to be a member of.
Lee has been modifying his own cars for years. He prefers Street Sleepers – cars that look completely normal from the exterior but have undergone radical transformations under the bonnet such as his RS turbo van. He also drives the only left-hand drive XR2 turbo in the UK (that he knows of!)
His favourite Chop Shop modded car has been the Capri, because it’s a Ford, obviously. He doesn’t smoke or drink, and apart from his vast and unusual milk consumption, all his money goes on cars.
