mk6 Fiesta brake light bulb change - help!

Default mk6 Fiesta brake light bulb change - help!

Hi all

Manual says undo the 2 screws and the light unit will come away from the car. I've done this, but it won't come away! It seems stuck in solid and won't shift! Can anyone help at all? Spent the last 10 minutes and have nearmy snapped my frigging fingers off Fooking stupid car gets on my tits

Open the boot, put your hand in the hole behind the light and you should be able to feel a wing nut, you need to un do that as well, then the whole light unit should come away from the car.

The bloody manual had no mention of a wing nut!!!

Yes, although on the Fiesta it gets worse. On the Focus the bulbs used to stay on the car and the casing came away, on the Fiesta the whole things comes off, THEN you have to un do about 7 little plastic clips around the light casing to get to the bulbs, its a bit tricky getting it back on straight. It's a right pain in the arse!

Just got it done! Found the little wingnut behind some wiring loom behind the carpet i had to pull away

Your right about the plastic clips that hold the bulb plate to the light unit, i undid 6 clips then the first 4 clipped back in. Stupid, stupid design!!!

then theres the 3rd brake light, they're ace fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
