the final on in the series!for me its by far the best out of all of them as it mixes comedy with the true horrors of the great war so well!specially at the end!always makes me think how aweful it most of been!
I've got all these on various dubious DVDs.
The ww1 one is very good.
The very first series is a retelling of Macbeth and the characters are a lot more serious and less silly than the later ones.
Worth a watch just to see how very different it is.

I love Blackadder. There are rumours that they are making another series... the two ideas I have heard is : They survive the going over the top and the 2nd is they wanted to do one set in the 60's

i think they devised characaters after seeing the actors doing their acting in some other productions as they are just so brilliant doing what they do
that lady with the turnips in one of the old ones was just perfect for the role, along with her husband
lord melchet must have been written specificaly for fry after someone saw him with a big moustouche
