When i put my motor into first every once in i while it pops out of first gear when trying to pull away?
Its doesnt feel as positive as the other gears when selecting either.
I have fitted i b&m quick shifter and the gearbox was unused for a couple of years.
I guessing it could be the sincro but any sugessions would be greatful. Cheers

 

iirc baulk rings are worn, these hold it in gear

rebuild yes

 

has it only happened since fitting the b&m?? check its set up correct.linkage ect

 

I have never had a chance to test the gearbox before so i dont know

Its the only thing that hasnt been tested, rebuilt or replaced in the intire car so ill be gutted if its knackerd

Will it destroy the gearbox if i use it for a while to run in the engine?

Any idea what a rebuild would cost?

 

Mine has been doing the same ocasionally for the last few years and has not developed into any further problems!! if it only does it now and again i wouldnt be that bothered by it!!
