cvh head

right all being offered an xr2 head to replace my tired rs turbo head.can i swop these or doi need another rs head or are all cvhsthe same?need to know asap cheers all

RST has sodium filled valves,so there different in that sense,but it will work,used std heads b4 never had a problem,sodium filled valves are a bit over rated lol

what are the benefits of asodium filed valve then carl.orions still lookin well smart btw
are all the ports and everything the same dimension?

Only S1's had the sodium filled valves iirc

head will be the same has long its not off a later lean burn XR2

its of an 88 spec xr2
why will the lean burn one not work??
is the 88 spec one of these

yeah think it will be the lean burn head they changed over in 86

you could use a Xr3i head tho has they never went lean burn then only changed to EFi in 89

lean burn heads have the heart shaped combustion chambers and smaller inlet ports it will knock the compression up because of this so you will have to keep the boost down to stop the det

you are talking about the carb fed XR2 and not the Xr2i ?

if you mean the Xr2i they are efi and the mfi inlet does not match the head

S2 were sodium filled,S1 and fez turbos wernt.
wht you changing a second hand head for another??
might aswell take yours off,have all all cleaned up,valves re lapped,re face and stick it back on,be good as new
