Parts man at ford gave me this, could it be the plug highlighted in yellow in this pic? i have some how lost 2 in transit from the engine shop i think!

They are dowels to locate cam caps

The part highlighted in yellow are screw in plugs that are located between spark plug holes in pic 1

it's not the bit highlighted in yellow

that's the plug to cover the casting holes required for the head

what they are are the bits that locate the camcaps, but i'm not sure what they are called, or what ford call them

they may not be available without the caps

i'd doesnt look like you can get them full stop. Caps look to be on their own also any ideas where i can get some from then ?

Probably best try a breaker or someone with a knackered/scrap head so you can get the bits off them, good luck!

without looking onebay or something, have you tried an engine reconditioner?

ahh crap no one is going to split a head for them are they! i presume any zetec will be the same?

have you checked that the dowels that are missing are not in the cam caps?.you should be able to get these from most engine reconditioners

yea all caps are off and not stuck in there there is a fairly local engine shop i will give them a shotm cheers

Im taking out a seized zetec this weekend, i can strip the head and send you a couple for the cost of postage if this helps?
