after paying good money for a 1988 s2 rs turbo in rosso red only 91,000 miles loads of history mods. its been sat up for 3 weeks. called the aa out to find out my fuel pump and metering unit fucked. after some time sorceing parts i fitted the new metering unit and pump. started it up today runs lumpy but nice to here it running.so its off to be set up tomro. cant wait to drive it. its got bayjo chip, stage one turbo, 31 act, boost control, samco hoses, balley dumpvalve, some crome parts, new s/s exhaust from turbo, fitted a cossie fuel pump, oil, water, boost,volt, gauges,
17, inch momo arrows, uprated discs and pads, konis alround, rs 3 spoke sterring wheel, what sort of power should i see

 

160bhp? still on standard intercooler?

 

yea I would expect to see 150 - 160 bhp

 

got a pace intercooler in

 

I would expect 160 maybe a little bit more.

 

mines roughley the same spec and it made 182.3

 

what step should i look at next cams pulleys

I would look at ported head and cams before cam pullys and a decent front mount, dump that pace

what cams would be best and intercooler, what do you thing about zvh 1.8. uprated pistons iv been told they use calibra turbo pistons

 

id say 170 180 ish my mates s1 has standard turbo and cooler set up by norris and was 170 odd horses

 

the calibra pistons will fit the 2 litre zetec far easier

after all the car wont start paid to tuned called them back out cant get it going. iv cheaked the cold start valve. put new pump and meter unit in. had timeing done. changed plugs leads, diz rota arm. what could it be

 

have you got a spark? ECU sometimes go on them

I have a radtec front mount intercooler for sale PM me if you are interested
Mine has -31 act, piper cams, stage 1 chip, magnex system, air filter, radtec front mount at 12ppsi boost its making 155 at the wheels so I would think you would be about that

Imobilser sounds likely

 

same spec as mine and mine made 186bhp at 1bar

i have since swapped for airtec front mount and am looking at a Newman cam, don't go solid lifters tho there a bastard to adjust
