HD is mint but don't get too excited about the choice of channels though.....there still isn't a lot!

Had mine in since June 2006 and still waiting for more and more channels

The only problem with HD is the amount of channels! I rarely even look to see whats on them as most the HD channels are shyte I dont have sports or films so Im limited on what else is on... As stated some new channels were added a week or two ago and more should be here soon

I love Sky + tho. I was recording using the timer on a DVD recorder (with hard drive) and fook me that took 10mins. Now I choose what I want, press one button and its recorded

Im not into many sports, especially watching them on TV and I get the latest films to watch on Blu-Ray... For free... Normally the week before official release (genuine disks, not copies ). So can't justify the extra cash on Sports and Movies

"feckin pointless having HD if you dont have sports or films"

A lot of things are pointless in having! Like why have a console and buy Fifa games when you can go outside and kick a football?? Why have a Cosworth when you can buy a Fiesta. Will do the same thing, just won't be as much fun!

Each to their own!

When I got HD I was a bit worried bout how many channels I was getting and was it worth the cash. Then an offer came up of £75 (No extra install charges) I took it!

yeah but my point is that you cant moan about there not being enough channels and then say you dont have sport or films.

sky themselves will rightly say that most of their HD resources will go into these channels

the fact you dont like sport and get blu-rays is not skys fault

I'm not moaning about how many channels there are! If I was moaning i would phone sky up and complain! It's a shame there's not more, but there will be sooner or later!

Just to add- other people are stating there's not enough channels, so what's the differnce? Because they pay more and get a few more channels they have the right to share their opponion?

fair enough then

but,

people have to realise that there is not heaps and heaps of HD material out there

sky are the biggest HD outlet in europe and probably outside of america.

on a personal level, most of my favourite tv shows are in HD (lost, fringe, heroes, prison break, brotherhood, massive, gavin and stacey........ the list goes on)

most of my footie is in HD and with the new movie HD channels starting there heaps of older fims in HD that arent even out on blu-ray

anytime highlights heaps of shows on the documentary channels i didnt realise where in HD

i cant fault it and have difficulty keeping up with my planner which is full of HD material and more to come !
