Wonder if it will be anywhere near as good as the first couple in the series? The trailer looks pretty harsh.

watched it tonight. its crap. nowhere near a gory as the others. there was no twist at the end. its almost as if they couldnt be bothered with it. waste of time (& Ł14) going to the cinema to see it.

Is it really that bad? The clips I have seen, such as the one above, look good?
watched saw last night wasnt bothered about seeing it slasher films dont do anything for me (must be my age) but i was well impressed with it not what i expected gonna watch the rest
the death scenes were dissapointing compared to the rest, & considering it was billed as 'you wont believe how it ends', the ending was just lame. there was no twist at the end, you could see how it would have ended most of the way through the film. just thought it couldn't be that simple. all i can think is the script must have been written around the time of the writers strike & must have been rushed. i'm a big fan of the others but this one was dissapointing. i'd like to hear some otheres opinions of it to see if its just me. bring on saw 6, & lets hope they put more effort into it

Well, we must have watched a different film! We both thought it was ace. The flashbacks to the earlier films were well-timed and the story-line was true to the series, but still with an interesting twist.
OK, so I do think the early ones were better and typical of most series of films like this, but by the 4th or 5th film the old classic 'Nightmare on Elm Street' had totally gone off the track and turned to shit, but this is not the case with Saw. It's obviously wide open for another and I hope they stay focussed and produce a film of comparable quality. I'd definately go see it.
