S2 blowing out spark when on high boost, why???

Default S2 blowing out spark when on high boost, why???

as above when im on high boost it holds back and slutteres misfires, been told it blowing out spark, what can cause this, i got std plugs gapped to 0.7 with group a coil?

what condition are the leads in? infact what about the rotor arm/cap are they in good condition?

your problems might lie with these.

try making gap on plugs a bit smaller

cap and arm are new, the leads only cost me 10 quid from my local auto parts, im runnin 16psi on high boost

harvey tried this but then on light throttle it would misfire, but boost fine with a bit of misfire. so i opened the gap to point 7 it cured the light throttle side of it, but now the problem with high boost

plugs are reasonbly new only done 1500 miles,maybe i should upgrade my plugs?

just to clear something up, the spark dont get blown out, its just there isnt enough electrical energy at the plug to bridge the gap!

Mine used to blow the spark out on full boost @ very high rev's and i was running Denzo iridium's or what ever there called lol And there supposed to be good! Changed to a set of good old 701's and its been fine since

really densoare like 40 quid, ill change my leads anyway, and get the 071s then ill give it a try, low boost the car drives perfect

I use to use Ford Escort Cossie plugs in my series 2... Never had any problems with them.

ford leads and 071c you will not go wrong or if you can find an set of 701s
