Whats the pro's and cons with both?

Anything they MUST have?

cant fault my panasonic plasma, awesome for the money.

My model is TH50PX8, so 720p, i sit about 6 feet from the screen so no point getting 1080p.

If you sit around 4 feet away, you will notice a difference going 1080p, any further I'd save ur cash and get 720p
