think you've done something wrong; i've fitted them a few times and they fit straight on mate

no need for a fitting kit or anything

I thought they were a direct replacement.

Make sure you lightly oil the O-rings then attach the rail, then as you bolt the rail to the plenum the rail will push itself into place on the injectors. You'll need to wiggle the injectors into place to make sure they're secured in the rail.

I've never had a problem fitting them to Escos fuel rails...

What part number you got on them?

shouldnt have to mod anything - mine went into a 2wd, and i assume you are fitting the injectors in to an escort cossie?

unless the fuel rail is different on an escos compared to a 2wd, there is no need to mod anything; direct fitment

the siemens injectors are shorter, but do fit loosely.
get hold of a set of o rings to go in the manifold side.same size as the ones used on the 4x4 cos fuel reg.

make sure you have got the rail caps over the top of the injectors & fitted the retaining clip properly, this is the trickiest bit about it

They are a perfectly safe direct replacement IMO.

are they supposed to be able to slide up and down when the fuel rail is fitted as it looks as though under pressure they will be able to slid up and have a possibility to leak.

Your clip will stop that happening.
