Drill down the centre of it very carefully, then use and easy-out to get the reminants of it out.

Centre punch it and drill it. If you cant gain access then you will have to make a way to gain access.

By removing it.......

I dont know of any other way if its flush

Tap the easy-out with a hammer into the hole that you have drilled then turn it works every time.

If you cannot do that then drill it bigger and helicoil it.

it shouldnt be tight unless it maxed out thread wise, i would chemical metal a drill bit to it, or any other metal rod like thing then just undo it, worked for me loads of times

Weld a blob of mig to the end of the bolt then get a pair of grips on to that, it will also heat the bolt up a bit which mite make it move easyer and the mig won't stick to the head cause its alloy, Works for me on snapped exhaust stud'd etc.

Good luck.

I used an opposite turn bit set for my thermo housing bolt, (is that an "easy out"?) Drilled into the bolt with a pilot hole then used the opposite thread kit and turned another bolt into the hole against the flow of the snapped bolt. Lully Jully...

Yes mate .. I have a love/hate relationship with them, they are great until they snap off as well, drilling hardened steel is NOT fun

Use the short ones from Snap On/Mac Tools etc, they have a 1/2" 6point hex head on them, don't bother with the long ones you have to use a tap wrench for.

Make sure you use the correct size drill aswell, and drill deep enough (LH Twist bits are best)

If the easy-out snaps your fucked tho, i would weld a nut onto it throught the middle, let it cool and heat up the head aroud it a little and it would come out without much trouble

What size bolt is it? if its big enough and hasnt bottomed out try and tap it round with a fine pointed punch first, easy outs are ok but you have to be cock on when your drilling the bolt or it will just end up a mess, i used to get loads of jobs in at work where people had a go themselves and totally fucked it up and i had to plug and re-tap the hole, if all else fails get it spark eroded out lol
