i found a 1.25 zetec loom the other day and as im doing the 1.8 zetec conversion i was wondering if ther loom is compatable with the 1800 engine???

all tho the engines are bnoath called zetecs thay are very different. i take it your useing a silver top 1.8 zetec engine?

 

yer probs the silvertop as i hear its an easyer swap.

 

would the 1.7 zetec se not be easyer

 

i havnt been able to find many of those

and also the 1800 is loads cheaper

 

what year is the fiesta
if its a mk3 then you need a xr2i, rs1800 or si 16v loom
if its a mk4/5 then you will need a zetec s loom to fit the 1600 lump or a puma loom to fit the 1700 lump
the silvertop wont go into the mk4/5 very easy

lucky you said that as i was thinkin about just gettin a mondeo loom or summit like that :s

i know its goin a bit off topic now but wat do you think to keepin my 4 speed box, as i do the quarter mile i need the acceleration or wont it be strong enough

my mate run a 1.4 cvh through his 4 speed box it let go with in hours lol use and escort rs box it will be more than up to the job and its fitted with an lsd would also advise finding a 5 speed lincage tho
