Actually James I designed the monitor you are on about

And this is definitely not a for sale advert as I am no longer involved with the company that sells it in any way shape or form.

Yes I could do it, but unfortunately, if you paid me an hourly rate to do so though, it would make the PSI3 one look very cheap indeed.

Its one of those things that if you fancy spending a few weekends yourself sorting it out, is viable, but not when you have to start involving other people.

All it needs to see is a complete set of cossie sensors, so thats all you have to give it essentially.

LOL, dont know how to take that !

That product was designed at a targetted price level versus performance for a small display.
It actually has a 32 bit multitasking processor and the display is its only limitation !

I didnt know you had extensive micro and electonics hardware experience ??

All the products I have ever designed would cost a fortune to develop if I was paid my usual hourly rate but I did them all for my enjoyment originally.

Yes it woudl be possible to wire up the original monitor using seperate sensors.

Simon, the comment about making the PSI3 look cheap, read it as "good value" not "poor quality".
I dont have extensive micro exerperience mate, nor would I need it to connect some sensors, I meant I would do it by making the engine appear to the SECS monitor as still a normal YB, not by altering the SECS itself.

No outputs on AIM though - buy a Motec SDL (800gbp or so in Aus dollars) - talks serial or Can to heaps of things (pectel, autronic etc). No need to double up on sensors - heaps of analogue, lambda (extra cash).

And fits into a Sierra pod unlike Aim dash - which it too tall.

Hello Simon

I got involved in this new project with psi3 about 18 months ago the board they were using was completely redisgined hardware and software about 8 months ago,I think this made them easier to make and Richard made the new software workings.
So unless you have worked for them in the last 18months the only thing I could think of had your input would have been the idea of a data monitor,
btw thats was a bloody good idea of making data monitors and I still see many of them in the cossies.
No trade add here and I am not making themso this shouldnt get delete.

Mark

Cheers

Mark,
Strange as richard asked me for all the internal details in order to complete the software for that product.
Also, I have seen one and the boards were updated but have the same essential cpu frame work I made up !
Add to that the software looks nearly identical to the VW one I did before I left......

Irrelivant anyway as long as you ended up with what you wanted

I am just glad to be away from my backstabbing ex partners LOL.

May I suggest in a friendly way that you geta trade membership .....
Will silence everyone once and for all and it isnt that much money !

Thanks for the positive comments
