I've finally made it and i'm here! (only been here a couple of days)

It's absolutely boiling, and I have to hide away in a room if I want a glass of water due to ramadam. (Can't wait for it to finish)

Staying in a suite at the Crowne Plaza in festival city at the moment whilst I get the furniture all sorted. Amazing room will get some pics up soon.

Just got my company car as well, Lexus LS460. VERY VERY impressed, just wish that everyone else could drive like a normal person, it will probably be wrote off within a few more miles, well kilo's.

You don't have to hide because of ramadan, if you'r not a part of the religion tho. Visitors can eat and drink in the daytime.

You do!! Out of respect, I got stopped by a police officer for smoking in the street! The canteen office windows have all been blacked out, and you cannot drink at your desk etc whilst ramadam is on. It's not bothering me to much, the UK could do with adopting the same ethos and bring all the c***s inline with our customs instead of bowing down to all the others!

Hmm we were living there in the ramadan month, but we never had any problems drinking or eating as we used to do. Don't know why, but never had a problem

 

Got a mate living and working out there.

He's just brought himself a fookin' massive Mitsu Shogan, just because he can and the fuel is supposed to be cheap too.

He says he 'needs' it to cart his wife and two kids around

the old fella's there atm and he says ramadam is the best time to go as there is barly anyone around ! this is the second time hes been at ramadam and dosnt mind it at all

I flew to Yas Island yesterday the home of the new Abu Dhabi Grandprix as our company is doing the design for the track facilities and 4 of the hotels there. I'm going to try and organise a big VIP weekend, will keep you updated.
