Default water temp broke

as i was trying to change my water temp reader on the head. the bolt snapped off and the thread is stuck in there.

can i do anything about this?

will it leak any water?

should i get a separate water temp reader.

Cheers.

Pressurise the system and check for leaks.

You do have two options. Drill out the bolt and helicoil a new thread in which is OK or if you have no leaks you can buy another and drill and tap into the thermostat housing.

Depends which you prefer to do.

I hope it helps.

had this happen to me awhile ago and luckily the head was off at the time, remove the thermostat housing and u should be able to see the end of the temp sender unit, get some very thin but strong, long nosed pliers and try and unscrew it from the inside out, it worked for me
