Default Greenlight Insurance - Premium finance

Hi All,

Following on from my other post earlier today, explaining the developments here at Greenlight (systems wise) since June 2008 we have also altered our premium finance arrangements.

To clarify this situation I felt this merited a post being made.

Historically (for 12 years), where an Insurer did not offer a premium finance option we had outsourced to Amber Credit (a third party finance company - part of the Skipton Building Society).

In July 2008, Amber were purchased by another company and we had chosen to source alternative options.

I'm conscious that since July our finance options had been restrictive, but we now have 2 finance plans in place that will cater for most people (at a current interest rate that is 3% better than Amber Credit).

I understand that not everyone requires premium finance, this is a useful option for some of you wishing to spread the cost of your policies.

Kind regards

Wow, thats annoying, added to my initial problem with a member of staff who didn't seem to have any knowledge of customer service, I was told that absolutely no monthly payment option was available?

Unbelievable!

Sorry Buddy,

But the finance change was sprung upon us back in July and although we had one line of finance in place it took some time to get agreement for the second option.

On the upside, we did manage to improve the interest rate.

If you can provide me (by PM) with the number or date/time you called from i'd be happy to review your call to assess this and have a 'chat' with the individual who provided a service below your expectations.

Kind regards

Tony

cant fault that, i had a policy with greenlight before where i took out the paymant option, but upon reading the small print found it was a credit agreement, whereas previously with other company's direct debits gave you the option of cancelling a policy and being able to claim back a portion of the value of the policy that was left. whereas the amber ones had to be paid off reagardless.

the old amber ones were a credit agreement, and were independant of the insurance so glad you guys binned them

cant fault greenlight, been insuring my RS's with them for years now and they have always been the most competitive

Been speaking with Tony and although he hasn't offered to buy me a big mac () to apologise he has explained things and given me an understanding of certain areas.

He's restored my faith in Greenlight anyway No doubt speak to you next year Tony for a nice cheap quote.

Just got Nicoles renewal through from Greenlight. Cheaper than anyone else, but more importantly to me, it also has better cover and less sneaky exclusions in the small print.

Be carefull out there folks, price isnt everything but you tend to only find that out when you need to claim.
