I have a water pipe split on my escort cosworth.
It is located on the plenum side
It is a black pipe under the plenum that comes off the head.
I had the AA to have a look at it they can get to the bottom of the jubilee clip but cannot get to the top. The inlet manifold is in the way.
The undone all the bolts holding the plenum on and prized it away with a crowbar but did not do it to much as they did not want to brake it,
What is holding it on after you undo the 5 bolts is it stuck on or is it on with a gasket.
can it be prized off.
hope someone can help
Thanks

Are we talking the pipe that goes from oil modine to rear of the head under the plenum, if so you should be able to remove it without taking the inlet of although it might be tricky with a swedish plenum, the other end of the hose is just near the top of the dipstick tube.

never ever let anyone near your car with a crowbar!! (especially at road side
)that comes from the same draw as the sledge hammer and gas axe!
there are a row of 13mm nuts under the inlet, they are on studs that are in the inlet... so they undo towards the head.. bit tricky to get to. but not too hard..

the water hose at the back of the block,is on a small connecting block that has 2 allen head bolts .depending where the jubilee clip is,you can normally use a 1/4 drive socket set, with long extension.feeding by the battery/under the inlet,to get these bolts out.
bit tricky as you cant see them, but it can be done.
