might be worth checking you crankshaft sensor as well maybe re gap it etc set it too 0.8mm then spin it over by hand to double check none of the notches on the pulley hit it

Does it prime first thing in the morning ?
Have you mixed up any connectors such as cps/dizzy.
I would recheck the firing order at the dizzy, and that the dizzy is in PERFECT alignment with the scribe mark falling halfway through the line of the rotor arm, it's not a very good system.

Ok was at it again today. I put in fresh fuel, changed the air temp sensor (brown) and the water temp sensor(blue) still nothing, didnt have anyone to help me tow it to start it so just left it. Cheacked all the timing marks and im sure they are all lined up as the manual states. the rotor right on the mark .gaps all correct etc .

might i add i had it in first gear and doing 3000 revs before it would start yesterday but once it was hot it started from the key. im using a big lorry battery to jump start it so its no lack of power and i think my starter motor is almost had it now.
