Default TDI Tuning box...Anyone had one off ebay?

Just bought myself a Audi a6 estate 2.5TDI for a runabout and towing me caravan it is the 115bhp 5pot engine ( same as in the volvo 2.5tdi ) and seen these tuning boxes on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=005 has anyone used one? And did it make as much differance as they say? Also how do they work as the way i read it they just plug in between the harness and the derv pump ( are they just like these cheap resisters advertised for petrol cars ) or do they really work? for the price i was thinking they might be worth a try....

Also if any tuners are reading this what sort of power and turque could you tune the car too...? And price please..( pm if you wish )

Cheers John..

A remap wouldn't cost much more, the gains would be a lot better and the car would be reliable.

i had a similar system on a TDI i would not advise it as they work by upping the fuel pressure and blowing all the seals in your diesel pump but they dont tell you that

Try www.mijperformance.com for remaps

Heard they do economy maps as well as extra power maps

Some of the Ebay plug-ins are just glorified resitors to fool the ecu into thinking engine is cold therefore providing more fuel as ECU thinks engine is on warm-up cycle
