Default cossie engine

hi , im getting a ford escort rs cosworth nxt week, its got 52000 miles on the clok and its in mint condition, im paying £13500 for it. now the engine looks like it hasnt been cleaned or anything. do you no if i could have it rebuilt and it looking like a brand new engine that just came out of the factory i mean sparkling. and i want every component brand new. help would be appreciated.

there is no reason why they wouldn't do it, but I suppose like anything you would have to pay for it. Also if its freshly painted wouldn't you want to get new pulleys etc.. to dress the rest of it up with, could end up costing a small fortune

sometimes its a good sign if it hasnt been cleaned cos u can make out any oil leaks etc .not been covered up by being pressure washed

um i am going to do thw whole car suspension, wheels, interior.... and no i dont want standard power im looking at about 550 or 600 bhp. i want to take my engine to somewhere have all brand new parts fitted so its brand new and have it kicking out 600 bhp.

If your hunting those sort of power figures your going to need a decent box and diff's aswell ££££££££££

do you realise by the time youve done the engine and box and diffs its going to cost more than the car did originally?

Double the original cost IMO once you had the 6 pots, 18" wheels, front diff, gearbox, suspension

Plus its all the little bits you get raped on, engine mounts, clutch, hydro conversion, aeroquip, poly bushes, ADJ suspension, intercooler, alloy bits, wiring looms, engine management and monitors, fuel pump set up's with extra pumps and swirl pots etc plus all the labour

600BHP is NOT cheap I know and don't even have 500bhp lol

500 - 600 bhp wont come cheap and certainly wont be a walk in the park as you seem to make out lmao! if you are being serious set your sights a little lower to start with!
