Default Wing Chun - any good?

Done Karate for years and enjoyed it but haven't trained for 2 years and now fancy something different. Anyone done Wing Chun or any other form of Kung Fu and is it any good?

I did it years ago, was good fun and seems like it would be useful in real world situations. Good for fitness too.

depends what u want.................kung fu is very technicle and a life experience, but for real life fighting try muay thai or mix it up with MMA...p.s krav magra is the ultimate in "self defense" but u'll never find a good school.............also try "vale tudor" .............if ur after a "real life" art

i used to do Wing Chun. It suited me down to the ground as i'm short with a small frame so never got on well with Karate. Some of the techniques work better the shorter you are. Plus there was no grading system or competition which I prefer as I was just there for self defence. If you want to flex you muscles and enter competitions then it's not for you. If you want to learn how to defend yourself and your family then it is highly recommended.

i used to do wing chun, very good imo. as said good for ftness and its also pretty good for close quarter scenrios.and you reall donthve to be big or strong. its more about using the oppositions weight and force against them.
