id think as long as they are reflective, normal font and with the correct spacings then they will be legal.

It was a waist of my time, took a day off work just for them to tell me i had to write a letter to the police stating my case, They could of told me that in a letter ffs, So its still ongoing tbh i may just pay the fine. As it now taking up more time than this worth.
there are the offending plates...

thats what i meant in your other thread mate, i know its shite but sometimes its easier and cheaper to take the fine in the first place. i think they deliberately plan things that way just so more will just cough up at the start rather than an expensive drawn out saga where you lose wages each time you go up. .

Forget the nonsense....

If your car is old enough to have had pressed steel plates fitted on it when it was new, then they would be legal.

So chances are unless its pretty damn old.....they will be illegal, and must be a modern reflective plate.

When I was pulled and fined, the copper explained they are illegal as they can be dangerous in a crash.

Crock of shite in my opinion, but thats what I've been told

German License Plates are NOT legal on British registered cars on U.K. roads.

All our plates are sold strictly for show use, and for using off public roads.

You will have seen many cars with German Plates on (The M20 is full of them - but they normally are German Cars), but you take the risk of a Ł30 fine if stopped by the police, but no points on your license yet!

The above is for UK cars only, please check in your country what is and what is not Legal before ordering.
The above is from www.german-number-plates.com
