I'm gonna go down to a local place that has brass fittings and see if i can match something to it if not i may have to get a new unit for the tank

new style fillers are 10mm flexi pipe and the old ones were 8mm solid copper filler pipe, if you have the larger filler type then you will need to use the 10mm rubber flexi tube and that can only be used with the new style fillers which are a fast flow quick fill effort, i will have a look in the shed see i f i have a few 10mm flexi filler pipes, i f i have then you can glady have one as i got them for bugger all when the lpg company folded i worked for.
The standard filler is actually JIC but you run a adaptor on them if your using either 8mm copper pipe or flexi pipe.
You can't use the flexi pipe on some single hole tank multivalves as the adaptors required foul the tank.
Probably not a bad idea taking the nuts to someone as even if I see a pic I may not be able to tell what you need.

Single point but not a problem now sussed it.
Held the car at 2000rpm running on gas and turned the screw on the side of the vapouriser (spelling) till the engine sounded happy and then let go of the throtle and it idles fine drive nice too. Well happy now
