Default exhaust manifold

been reading a thread and sum1 says not to use exhaust sealing paste before a turbo or cat.... is this true? was gonna seal the exhaust manifold gasket but now not so sure..any help? cheers

cant see why ya would need to use it?????the turbo to manifold doesnt have a gasket,and a new one on the manifold wont leak

with a new gasket you wont need paste!

But as above, there is no gasket needed. Metal to metal is how it was designed.

you shouldn't need any but sometimes gaskets are crap.
a smeer of it should be fine and make sure it doesn't sqeeze into the exhaust and all should be good.
