hi folks are conrod end caps matched to the conrod? lost two conrod end caps like a dick

Yes mate they are numbered to match, so best to get another pair of rods with their caps!
You may be able to use caps from other rods but would probably have to get them honed/skimmed to match enach other at an engineering company, even then i'm not sure!

U must have the original caps! It just isnt worth the mucking about! Also depends what engine you are talking about! Some conrods are made differently to others when it comes to splitting the caps off! For what second hand rods come to cost wish just change them.

got a set of pistons and rods in shed just did'nt know if there was matched no probs il just have to take the head off now and change the rods over cheers fellas
