Default The noddy Build so far.....**updated 16/02/05**

not touched the actuall car, but been buying the bits needed to get the engine running

brand new t34.63, as shown in pics., well in the bag next to rocker cover.

new baffled sump ordered, along with cometic head gasket
new cometic rocker cover in the pack in pics.

but tonight paul (3dr-rally-slag) and I have mainly been painting and cleaning parts of engine ready for rebuild

i know i swear will all the crap that was there, it looked just as if it was a bolt holding the knock sensor wire, but once i scrubbed it, i could see the bolt

and if you're not using new pistons, i would at least round off the contact areas to eliminate any sharp edges that can get hot and promote detonation.

i swapped my 205 engine for this one.

i not rebuilding as, i cant really afford it.

i'm use these pullies as this is the setup i have and i not eh other type, surely it has no benefit ????

At least pop the pistons out, hone the bore and re ring it then at least it has a fighting chance....

surely i'd need new bearings/crank ground/ and so on??? where do you stop???

You don't have to take the crank out...if you are going that far then you are moving towards a full build....if you was doing it all 100% properly then the crank would want checking for ovality etc....

I was just suggesting a way to prolong the life of the engine for a little while.

Nice job Spiky you should have just de greased the block and then painted with Hammeright smooth ( thats what iam doing with mine ) drys smooth and nice and shiny and is also heat proof to over a 1000 c
