they're just standard-ish figures for most cars to be honest...

if you know what cam you have, you can look on kent cams website at their broschure and it'll give you the exact figures. if you haven't got a cam designed for solid lifters, you'll lose some lift.

Is the cam meant to be used with solid lifters or was it originally used with hydrualic lifters?

it DOES matter!

i take it its for the fiesta?

and the things with nuts on are like a boat kinda shape if so these armt your lifters, lifters are the cylinders things that fit below it

but the haynes manual should tell you what setting to torque the nuts upto, but dont over tighten them as they have a tendencu to rip the stud and threads out the head

as far as i know there adjustable solid lifters

i think newman cams supply these in there kits

they need to be adjusted to to whatever they say in the instructions before fitment i think

but yes the other type are hydraulic and are different

with these ones you have the benefits are more for higher revving engines like 8k

AFPMSL at the sudden influx of people lately that think you can just put Solid Followers with a normal cam intended for Hydraulics.

Im one of them, although nothing suddenly or lately in my case, and I know loads of people who have been doing so for years and never had a problem, even on 10K+ miles on trackday engines, with no visible cam wear, in fact ive got hydraulic profile N/A cams in my turbo nova on solid lifters too!

Im well aware that you lose a small amount of lift when you do so, and im also aware that the ramp doesnt have the initial few thou gentley dialled in to increase cam life by lesening the impact at the beginning of the lift like many (but not all anyway!) solid cam profiles do, but bottom line is, it DOES work just fine in a lot of instances.
