ok, try this-
I was 21 when i got my cos with 2-3 years no claims!!
I got quoted £2800 and thought FUCK!
but paid it for 2-3 months till I was broke just because I wanted to drive my car!!
I cancelled the policy on the cos, and was stuck with my shitty work car, girly 206 hdi, in black though!!

I then decided to try and get tempory cover on the cos, from my insurance company (admiral). Phoned them up and said I'd like some tempory cover, minimum they said was one week so thought thats enough for now and thought is this gonna cost £100 for one week!! but to my dis beliefe my indian friend on the phone told me £16!! (works out at 700ish a year
Try it I use tempory cover all the time now! your only allowed 125 days of it a year but its better than getting a mogage to pay ur insurance! plus my car only works for that about that much of a year cos it's a ford

so i have it on a limited mileage policy, plus its garaged.
when i was 20 the insurance company wanted £2000 TPFT to insure a standard saph with 3 years no claims so i dint bother insuring it or driving it, when i was 21 i insured it fully comp for £1200, when i was 22 it cost me £900 and im nearly 23 and the renewal wil be £750 with mods declared kept in a garage less than 5000 miles and thats with 5 years no claim i think maybe 4
At 21 i insured my saph for £1450 fully comp with Greenlight. That was all mods listed too. Couldn't get cover for anything remotely sensible at 20 though, everyone either said call back when your 21 or £3k+. Got the renewal through and it's £950 but didn't renew because the stupid thing is broken.
