Not a great deal of experience in engine conversions but im managing, however.....
Im in middle of dropping a series 2 rs turbo engine in my mk3 cabriolet and im having trouble because it sits on the piss. Its slightly lower at drivers side. I bought brand new engine mounts for them (mk3, central mounted inner wheel arch bolt hole) and still no joy. Tried the mk4 mount and it sat even more on the piss and the inner hole didnt line up under wheel arch. When i ordered the mount i was told theres 3 different mounts involving the inner wheel arch bolt hole. One mounted central, one slightly to left and one slightly to right. The RST one he told me was central, so he sent it, now it sits on the piss.....
also anyone got a picture of the right mount?

the gearbox was the one straight off my mk3 from my zetec conversion, i basically took the box off my zetec when i removed it from my mk3 and bolted it to my turbo engine.

Then you have the wrong mount. There are 2 mounts that look exactly the same but somehow they are still different hehe. Stupidly enough i didn't take pics of the mounts. So can't help you on that. Just change the mount.

bit of an update, it was the engine mounting cage that needed changing. Mk4 escorts have different ones to the mk3. Problem sorted, i borrowed one from a mk3 xr3i. I shall have to put one back asap.
Anyway, engines in, shafts are in, just gotta bolt the rest of the anti-rollbar and connect everything up.....
