Default New donington circuit - top news...

Rumour has it....from a good source..

Coppice to melbourne hairping is the straight and thats where the new pits are.....

But as it comes back onto the existing pit straight its going to go back into the infield and come back up at the side of craner to redgate and back along the orignal circuit...

Some truth in that cause we had a box on craner and we were told it was being demolished for redevelopment....so all the box's on craner are going anyway....

All good

Dont get your hopes up - its a typical Bernie ruse in the game he is playing with Silverstone.

Yes big plans will be drawn up and submitted and probably approved by the local authority but the massive funds to develop will never be secured privately.

Silverstone make very little money from the british GP, most of the revenue streams go elsewhere other than to the organisers, so no way will the private sector stump up 100 million for a once a year event thats produces so little profit.

Bernie knows this and you can guarantee any contract he has with Donnington will have a million and one get out clauses, even Damon Hill said the games not up yet.

Its a pity but no way will the funds materialise to make this happen in reality.

also, Bernie mentioned that silverstone could do a deal to buy back the race from Donnington.

Would be interesting to see donnington developed though and also to see if the moto gp bieks would use the new circuit...

clive, the facilities that f1 requires are miles away from what donno has at the mo, look at the new circuits on the calender to see what they will need to do.

from what i understood from the brief interview with the commercial guy on the f1 programme at the weekend, they would be creating an infield section, which makes sense to use the gradients.

i think he was hinting that they would be looking to fund it from the public/fans with some kind of scheme. i would be interested in investing.

I knew I should have had a few quid on my prediction .

good old Bernie is 5 steps ahead of everyone else, be interesting to now see what he really had up his sleeve when he went along with this ruse
back then, no doubt it will all become clear soon enough.

Anybody want to know this Saturdays lottery numbers

its a pity for Donnington, but in reality it was obvious nothing was really going to happen.
