Default taking an alarm from one car to another

whats the crack on this? too much hassle/ not possible, or can it be done by a pro?

Possible, but would not recommend it especially if there's immobilisation involved. The quality of the installation is more important than the alarm itself (IMO) and you'll have a job doing it without good 'electrical skillz'. In my experience a pro would charge a fair bit to 'unwire it' too.

What alarm is it?

yep can be done but make sure you label it well
never buy one thats been took off unless labelled

Piece of piss, took a C5T2 from a escort diesel to a astra, there is NO reason it will not work if wired correctly as it does not know what car it is on, immobilisation is childs play to get around as well when doing the whole job like this.

It's easy to do yourself, just lable as you remove, write eveything down and take your time.
Immobiliser circuit normally a loop that is cut and then joined into starter/dash/fuel pump/ecu feed after the wire to that is cut.
I am in Norfolkshire.
