The cable over your engine isnt the throttle cable. The throttle cable goes into the throttle body from the front. Isnt it the speedo cable? Either way - its in the wrong place.
Mart.

Hmmmmm. Well, who ever wrote the letter, is either ten years old, or can't spell and needs to go back to school. They also appear to have very little knowledge about turbo's or cosworths, otherwise he would clearly know that in your first pictures, the turbo is definately a T34, the wastegate is also clearly a totally standard internal item, as you can see the arm from the actuator is connected to the internal wastegate. Oh..........and I can't believe the breather system.....Total Joke.
The breather system is not connected properly and is missing both a return hose and a drain/waste hose at the bottom. Run the car like this, and it will soon fill the engine bay with oil, as it'll vent directly into the engine bay..................LOL. This looks a very bodged engine (Just going from the picture). I'd be very suspicious about the engines quoted bhp, as with that turbo, your going to be lucky to see 370bhp. As the engine is in that picture, I'd bet a months salary its not more than 370, and if I opened it up, I'd also bet it's got standard internals.
Either someone has taken you for a mug, or this is a joke.
Sorry to be so blunt, but that's the way it is.

Cossie Legend : If your for real................... Then it looks like you have got a good clean car.........But the engine definately isn't as described. Depending where your located, I'm sure there are knowledgable people/specialists in your area who will always help out.
The breather needs plumbing in correctly. From your pics it appears that it has been plumbed into the breather vent, but the second return hose isn't there, and nor is the bottom hose....... this needs to be fitted and routed to a catch tank, otherwise you'll end up with oil everywhere. As it's fitted at the moment, it's serving no purpose at all, your simply venting the block to athmosphere.........along with all your oil.
The turbo housing appears to be a T34 (Basically replacing the original T3), but until you can get a number off the exhaust housing (Back end of the turbo) to see which exhaust housing is fitted (48/55) then it's hard to tell. On face value, it appears to be a T34. (Originally from and early Escort Cosworth). Maximum Power that these turbo's can pull in reality is about 350bhp max ...... "Reliably". As for the internals..............If someone had spent the money having the crank knife edged, re balanced, and genuine Cosworth forged pistons etc, then I'm sure they'd have gone to the same expence with the turbo and the breather system, which it appears they haven't. So I'd be suspicious of the internals being anything other than standard. To confirm if it has a modifed sump is very simple.............look underneath the front of the car, and if the sump is aluminium and nice and well made then it's original. If it looks like it's had additional capacity wings welded onto the sump then you will see this immediately. My bet is that it's a standard sump too.
If your unsure, just take a few quick pics and post them up, and we'll let you know the answers.

Can anyone give me some advice where i should start from here and i dont need smart answers and critiscm. Thats the way the breather was from i got it. Ive drove this past 2 years not a great deal mind you but she wasnt driven easy when she was out and no problems so far. I take it the breather needs changed and then a rolling road test to see what is going on. How can i guarantee what turbo is on her, what do i look for. I thought i had a good car, no rust at all and she is a pure flying machine and no trouble at all since i owned her but yous make it sound like she is a heap of shit.
Now, as for your car. Get that breather sorted and have a health check done on that engine.
LOADS of tuners on here who'll clue you up on whats what. Norris Motor Sport, MA Developments, Motor Sport Developments. All good blokes who'll sort you out.
i hate people who lie and try and rip off people. This is a prime reason why you should of took someone who knows about cosworth's with you.
Yes it will feel fast, most cossies do, especially if you havnt had one before. if you were in a proper 460+ bhp cossie you would realise how fast that really is.
hope you get it sorted.
get it set up/and looked at by a GOOD TUNER, and then enjoy it.

TURBO : OK....So it's a Garrett T34 with a .63 exhaust housing. (This is a good thing)
THE SUMP : This is a standard sump and it's capacity is approximately 4.5 litres........Not a big wing sump as stated !!!! This is ok, but not as described in the original specification. (It's standard and not a large capacity sump).

There is nothing wrong with the parts on your car, it has the potential for around 350+bhp!
The cable that goes over your engine looks to be the clutch cable, it should be routed as below:-
(look just above the yellow line)

As for the breather, you are missing a pipe that comes from the turbo side of the block, its not a massive deal to sort!

That's not the clutch cable that you've higlighted......! ! ! ! Thats the speedo cable.
The breather is also missing the pipe from the bottom of the breather into a catch tank. At the moment any oil/gunge which is sent into the breather is just going to run out into the engine bay..........Not a problem if you like cleaning your engine bay regularly. But not connected up as it should be.
The turbo is a T34 with a large AR 063 Housing, which is commonly called a T35, but it's not a GT35, which is totally different manufacturer and specification, and alot more expensive.
If it indeed has a straight cut gearbox, then you won't miss it..........It will sound very noisy, and that's standard for a straight cut box. You won't miss it.
W'ere not trying to put the guy down......We're trying to help someone who's been ripped off in regard to the engine specification. If he was near me, then I'd be helping him as much as I could.
But the spec of the engine is no where near what it was proported to be.
And with a T34 and a 63 exhaust housing, it will be producing no more than 350 (Absolute Maximum.........Reliably).
On the UP side..........The car does look VERY nice though. But the engine spec is no where near what it's supposed to be.
