Results are off gas, 26psi on a GT3076 iirc

Yes, my turbo is bigger than speckys, and my head is a bigger spec, and I can rev further as im on solid lifters.

 

but yours will never be finished, right?

 

This one is puppy power compared to Dannys and some of the others that are still sat in garages up here

In the next year or so I expect the Vaux scene to pick up some what.

 

Going to be early next year when mine is gone, as building a workshop to finnish it in first, engine itself is finished and driving (ive just finished running it in) but I need to sort out a clutch and gearbox that can handle the power next before I get to map it on the autronic.

 

What turbo is Danny using then ?

And tbh have you got some graphs to back those claims up

Not denying that Dannys and others are potentially more powerful but besides Danny doing that top speed run nothing else has proven that its making bigger numbers.

I don't think Specky has attempted a top speed run yet so I can't comment if you need 500hp+ to match Dannys time.

Ive seen no evidence that danny's is specifically over 500bhp yet, although its certainly up in that ballpark judging by its brunters speeds.

Will be cool seeing them both run the standard km in a few weeks, that should show who's is making the most power, although specky is FAR more bothered about quarter mile performance than out and out power anyway as far as im aware so im sure his turbo choice reflects that rather than a quest for the highest possible power.

Though how you can say his car doesn't have 500bhp when its pulled 181 on brunters and 130+ on the 1/4 is a bit puzzling!

 

I think you misread me, I said its in that ballpark ive just seen nothing specific, could be 506 could be 494 etc

I would guess he used a Tigra just to be different although they are quite streamlined so that may of been part of the reason.

Some of us have been side tracked by Vauxhalls for a year or so but I'm slowly starting to get back into it now.

There was a thread on here till the forum was changed, even I can't find it now I've possibly used the slowest sources ever to get where I am with it now but within a month I hope to have the car back and a engine semi built. Its still going to be a year until its done as I have a few bills to clear.

Gavs car is slowly coming along, we just fitted the engine tonight but there is loads still do sort and find a home for. Not rushing anymore so its done when its done, I think he's tempted to bring the GTR back out as he's missing having a nice car to drive

I like the theory it's done when it's done as you don't ever say you are faster than, you have more BHP than you can do such and such better than...when it's done it will speak it's own language.

Some people that have not "done" "it" , seem to think they have some random edge over those that have "proved" it..

By that i mean they have taken some vehicle, made modifications to it stated it has "X" amount of power/torque and left it at that, no map, no RR set up.
