long studded block, polished and ported head, siemens black injectors.

has to go back in to get a fuel swirl pot, 044 pump, areoquip fuel line and a new fuel loom fitted so it can have enough fuel, going for a water injection kit to be fitted too.

will be going into NMS on Saturday for a few days/week so then it can be fully mapped to its full potential, not running low boost anymore.

the van had t38 roller bearing turbo BD10 inlet & exhaust cams un-nown bottom end greys running peak 32psi holding 28psi to 7200rpm not sure of the bhp but it must be some near 400 or just over to be doinf the 1/4 in 11.5 & 0-60 in 3.2
just swaper the t38 for a t34 for a little less lag

im running L6, siemens, T4 ext wategate, low comp, ported head, 14/16 cams one off inlet, 535i throttle bodie, huge cooler/pipework. boost 30psi held power between 430 and 450 i think.
current setup may be for sale, i.e injectors, ECU,T4.

when you have a T4 powered car you are more likely to break the bottom end due to revving its cunt out all the time, hence mine is broken after 3 month of owning lol

when i got the car running the power it is now i had to spend more on suspension and tyres than anything else so beware...... you need to put the power down, wheelspinning in 4th at 100+mph scares punters in the passenger seat but doesnt make it any faster

im going high compression and T28/T35 havent diceded on turbo yet.

Sean.

do you need twin fuel pumps to get over 400 bhp ?
i am building long studed bottom end , pocketed mahle pistons , ported & polished head
.Swedish inlet with 68mm throttle body . t4 & greys & p8, with as much boost as fuel will allow .
i have only got an uprated in tank pump at mo . was hoping to acheive a reliable 400 bhp .
what do ya think ??

Runty176,

you on about an escort cos then...yes.

i have an uprated fuel pump and it was on the limit at 430 bhp, i now need the 044 pump aswell ad the swirl pot etc...

imo, i would go for a set of Siemens blacks instead of the greys too.

should be fine with a single 044, make sure you check voltage at the pump, critical it gets 14v if i remember correct.
you could go twin pumps if you got the money i guess, overkill never hurt?!

Wont headwork affect the torque figure so I hear? And therefore the drivability?
