Default Oil pump removal

Does the engine have to be removed on a 2wd Cossie to remove and replace the oil pump?

You can just drop the crossmember to remove the sump but you will have to use an engine lift or engine cradle to hold the engine up as the engine mounts fit to the crossmember .
